This
is the only Cantonese radio channel in New Zealand.
It broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On
top of local news and public affairs programmes,
RGL broadcast programmes from various renowned
media in Hong Kong, such as Commercial Radio and
RTHK.
In fact, RGL in Chinese is composed of three
characters which have some special meanings.
In English, it means “TRUTH” , “FAST” & “ENERGETIC”.
In our belief, these are “the” elements of a
contemporary radio station.
Target
Audience
It aims to communicate to Cantonese-speaking
communities which mainly come from Hong Kong,
southern China, Singapore, and Malaysia. It
covers from young adults, working class, to
housewives. The channel is segmented with different
demographic groups in various time segments.
The scheduling of the programmes is tailor-made
for their variety in lifestyle and habits. This
enables advertisers to schedule their commercials
right to the target groups more effectively.
