Chinese
Voice
Broadcasting
(CVB)
is
a
newly
established
local
Chinese
radio
station
in
Auckland,
New
Zealand.
It
started
to
broadcast
on
the
13th
February,
2004.
CVB
transmits
two
radio
frequencies:
FM95.8
and
AM936
on
Cantonese
and
Mandarin
respectively
to
serve
the
New
Zealand
Chinese
communities.
With
the
benefit
of
SKY
Satellite
platform,
audience
from
anywhere
in
New
Zealand
can listen to our
broadcast, therefore, CVB is definitely the one
and only one radio station broadcast nationwide
under the pay TV platform. Moreover, as a member
of World TV Group, CVB enjoys the benefits of
resources sharing with the group, such as local
news team, engineering, and advertising sales
services. This makes CVB to be more competitive
to the local market environment.
Future
Development
Besides
the
SKY
platform,
CVB
plans
to
cover
Wellington
and
Christchurch
via
the
TELSTRA
cable
network
in
near
future.
This
enable
CVB
to
cover
an
additional
three
hundred
thousand
household
in
this
two
cities.
